To many, the topic of ratio of sex (as in female/male) versus temperature of incubation seems to be more of a spectacle rather than a scientific evaluation. This article delves slightly deeper behind the facts that support this occurrence and points out the issue that "...the current rate of climate warming...could potentially result in heavily skewed sex ratios" (Quinn) which inspires a whole new perspective of what might become an epidemic due to clash of population growth/decrease.
